Venice is a city full of art, museums and exhibitions. One of the most beautiful exhibitions to visit this year is Peggy Guggenheim. L’ultima dogaressa, curated by Karole P. B. Vail of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection museum. The exhibition celebrates the life of the founder of this museum and tells all her works. There are around 60 artwork, including paintings, sculptures and works on paper. This woman was a well-known art collector who chose to live in Venice where she cultivated her passion for art until her death. The halls of Palazzo Venier dei Leoni hosts most of the works purchased by Peggy Guggenheim between 1938 and 1947. One of the masterpieces of the exhibition is the Boîte-en-Valise, made by Marcel Duchamp in 1941.
