Christmas is coming to Venice too. There are only a few days left to the most magical day of the year and lights and scents enrich the Italian lagoon.
If you are travelling to Venice during christmas holidays, you will be able to enjoy how the city is decorated with snowflake-shaped lights: everyday, they light up St. Mark’s Square and the calli (the typical Venetian narrow streets) from dusk till midnight. But Christmas in Venice isn’t done easily: in Mestre you will be able to take a walk throughout the traditional markets, just 20 minutes away from Venice, or enjoy yourself on the rink set up every year. If you stay in the lagoon, you can stroll around the Christmas Fair in Strada Nuova, from Campo San Felice and Campo dei Santi Apostoli, and go ice skating at Campo San Polo. Merry Christmas!
